Ghana National Federation of Livestock Inter-professional was established and inaugurated on 24th June 2015 in Kumasi. The livestock food value chain namely, Ghana National Association of Cattle Farmers (GNACAF), Livestock Breeders and Traders Association (LIBTA), and Ghana Corporative Butchers Association formed the umbrella body GHAFLIP. The stakeholder meetings from inception to inauguration was financed by Trade Hub. The General Secretary (Formal) of COFENABI-AO led a delegation to Kumasi to witness the new birth of Baby GHAFLIP which became a member of the ECOWAS Confederation by name COFENABVI-AO and by extension Borderless Alliance.

Alhaji Moro Akakade the president of the Ghana National Federation of Livestock inter-professional (GHAFLIP) was born on 15 January 1965, he is a successful livestock farmer, trader and business entrepreneur.
He has worked in the livestock sector close to forty years as a farmer and trader in the sector. He was selected to lead the Ghana Livestock Traders and Breeders Association and subsequently GHAFLIP. Mr Akakade is also the Chirman of the Ashaiman Cattle market and have face lifted that market to a very high level.
Mr Akakade have attended conferences both home and abroad and partake in discussions of issues in the sector.
